Dr. Shanquela Williams
Hailing from Tuscaloosa, Alabama, Shanquela Williams, Ph.D., LMSW, is a devoted leader in advancing health equity. Having lived on multiple continents, she brings a multifaceted perspective to her work as a researcher and program evaluator, understanding the interconnectedness of issues impacting diverse communities. Dr. Williams received a Master of Social Work degree from the University of Houston, focusing on macro-level social work. She returned to the University of Alabama at Birmingham, where her roots were planted as an undergraduate. Dr. Williams completed her Doctor of Philosophy degree in Health Behavior at the School of Public Health. She is a servant in her community and attributes her faith and support system as light on her journey.
